Priscilla Tyree Williams, P.E.
Board Member
Priscilla Tyree Williams, P.E., is the Director of the Facilities Management Division for the North Carolina Department of Transportation. In that capacity, she is responsible for the administration of the Department’s $18M Capital Improvements Plan and the maintenance of the Department’s physical plant, totaling over 2,300 facilities/10M SF. Priscilla earned her BS in Civil Engineering and is a Professional Engineer in North Carolina. She also holds a Master’s in Leadership and Organizational Change from Pfeiffer University in Meisenheimer, North Carolina.
She is an active member of her community and has served on the boards of several organizations including United Arts of Raleigh and Wake County, Raleigh Symphony Orchestra, Raleigh Little Theatre, and the Community Music School. She was elected to the Board of the Ivy Community Service Foundation in 2013 and is the immediate past Vice-President.
She is a Life Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and has been active with the Sigma Tau Omega Chapter since 1998. On the chapter level, she has held the offices of Vice-President, Hostess/Membership Chairman, Parliamentarian, and Graduate Advisor. Priscilla has also served as the chairman of the Standards and 10th Anniversary Committees. She was recently appointed by the sorority’s International President to chair the International Building & Properties Committee. She and her husband, Melvin, live in Raleigh.
